Nakamaru will take on a lead role in the upcoming drama “主に泣いてます” (“Mostly Crying”), a manga-based drama about Konno Izumi (played by Nanao), a “beautiful life drawing model tormented with the unrelenting curse of her excessive beauty.”
Nakamaru’s role will be Akamatsu Keisuke, a 4th year attending Tokyo University of Fine Arts who becomes an part-time instructor at the studio called “Atelier Jin”.
In order for others – including Keisuke – to keep from falling for Izumi, she does various strange cosplays. Though aware of her beauty, to keep order in the class, Keisuke lies and says he’s gay.
The drama will air every Saturday around 23h00, starting in July 2012.
